Zusammenfassung:The article makes an attempt to assess the process of economic transformation in Poland through the prism of selected symptoms of economic growth. While illustrating his deductions with empirical data, the factors that favour stabilisation of growth, changes in subjective structure of economy, growth in investment expenditures and changes in the scale and structure of consumption are analysed. The author also indicates the spheres, the more profound study of which, together with the presented results, would allow a general assessment of the process of transformation in the context of problems of economic development.
