Zusammenfassung: | Nitrogen oxides emissions from glass melting furnaces are extremely high, due to the high process temperature to which combustion air is preheated. Such emissions can still be reduced at these temperatures by application of advanced combustion techniques, including staged combustion or flameless oxidation. Opportunities for NO sub(x) emissions reduction from high-temperature processes using preheated combustion air or pure oxygen for oxidation have been researched in Germany, and investigative results are synthesized. |
