Zusammenfassung: | Catalytic oxidation of nitric oxide to nitrogen dioxide over different activated carbons at 30 degree C was researched. Activated coconut C with a surface area of 1200 m super(2)/g converted about 81-94% of NO with increasing oxygen concentration, while a pitch-based activated C fiber with a surface area of 1000 m super(2)/g converted 44-75% of NO. About 25-68% of NO was converted by a polyacrylonitrile-based activated C fiber with a surface area of 1810 m super(2)/g. Moisture in the flue gas markedly reduced NO oxidation. |
