Zusammenfassung:Anaphes nitens (Girault), the most important biological control agent of the eucalyptus snout beetle Gonipterus scutellatus, is redescribed, from specimens from South Africa. Two new species of Anaphes Haliday from Tasmania, A. tasmaniae and A. inexpectatus, also from egg pods of G. scutellatus, are described and compared with A. nitens. A key is given to separate these species. Lectotypes are designated for Anaphoidea nitens Girault and its junior synonym A. gonipteri Ferriere.
