Zusammenfassung:The larvae of Rana tigrina were reared in isolation in the laboratory on five diets and with the oxygen supply increased by aeration. Best growth was observed with a mixed diet rich in protein, fat and carbohydrate, and metamorphosis took place in 20–46 days. A leafy diet, in addition to causing delayed metamorphosis and a slow rate of growth, resulted in body deformity. Aeration of the water enhanced the growth and rate of metamorphosis.
