On the R. Kinzelbach Hydrophilidae collection from South Europe and the Middle East (Coleoptera; Hydrophilidae, Helophoridae, Dytiscidae).

In the years 1977 to 1980 during several excursions to the Middle East and Southern Europe R. Kinzelbach et al. collected the aquatic fauna of this region, which is only insufficiently known. The collection contented 30 species of Hydrophilidae (additionally some subspecies) and 1 species of Helophorus . The records concerning the fauna of the Middle East show in some species a new spreading pattern. The systematic position, which often is doubtful caused by lack of knowledge and objects out of this region, is discussed with several species.
