Zusammenfassung: | Samples of green, brown, and red algae were collected from the northern and southern ends of the Bosphorus, and oil pollution on the surface of and inside the algae was examined. Except for Ulva lactuca, the level of oil pollution in algae was higher in the northern part of the Bosphorus. The rank of oil pollution in algae varied according to the collection site and sampling time. Pristane and large amounts of phytane were detected on the surface of and inside the algae, indicating anthropogenic oil pollution. Overall, 14 PAHs were detected on the surface of the algae, and eight PAHs were found inside the algae. |
