Zusammenfassung:At the Lake Panosoffkee area located in Sumter County, FL, feral pigs Sus scofa were trapped and analyzed for the presence of organochlorine compounds. The concentrations of the various compounds, which are tabulated, varied widely among individuals. Hexachlorobenzene concentrations in six females and six males ranged 0.16 0.19 and 0.15 0.22 ppb, respectively. Blood of one female had 0.64 ppb p,p'-DDE, and the blood of one male had 0.15 ppb PCB-74. Overall, levels of organochlorine compounds in S. scofa were low.
