Zusammenfassung: | Concentrations of organic insecticides were determined in airborne suspended particulate samples collected during the Hajj season in Saudi Arabia in 1995. Three high-volume samplers were used, which were located at different sites in the Muna Valley. At the three sites, the mean daily dust deposition per unit area was determined to be 2.07, 1.53, and 1.84 g/m super(2), respectively. The airborne suspended particulate levels were found to exceed the permissible limit over the entire valley. The airborne concentrations of chlorpyrifos, K-othrine, cypermethrin, permethrin, and PCBs are tabulated. |
