Zusammenfassung:The participation of the poor in social forestry projects is an important goal, and can be evaluated using socioeconomic data collected before and after the project is initiated. When data prior to implementation are not available, data after the implementation can be used to evaluate effectiveness using a proposed method assessing degree of inclusion. "Slow change" socioeconomic variables and logistic regression are used to approximate longitudinal analysis. A case study of the Java Social Forestry program shows the applications of the method.
