Zusammenfassung: | The measurement of lead-210 by gamma spectrometry is difficult due to the low energy and low yield of the emitted gamma -ray. An application of a general procedure for self-attenuation computations is presented, which are required because the linear attenuation coefficient is relatively high. The application involves the analysis of sediment cores from the Danube River and atmospheric deposition samples. Good results are shown. |
