Zusammenfassung: | The aim of this paper is to examine organizational cynicism from the perspective of trust and discuss the relation between the two. Organizational cynicism denote to negative attitudes towards the organization for a number of reasons. This attitude can be defined as the beliefs that the organization lack integrity, negative emotions about the organization and finally verbal criticism consists of telling that the organization lacks sincerity and honesty. The sources of organizational cynicism are mainly personality, violation of psychological contract and flaws in leadership behaviors. However we argue that trust can be both the cause and result of organizational cynicism. In this line of argument the relation between trust and cynicism is handled in a qualitative manner. |
