Immunochemistry screening for Lynch syndrome in colorectal adenocarcinoma using an initial two antibody panel can replace a four antibody panel

Tests the hypothesis that staining for PMS2 and MSH6 antibodies alone will be sufficient to detect all cases of Lynch syndrome (LS) - also known as hereditary non polyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC), an inherited autosomal dominant condition predisposing to early onset colorectal adenocarcinoma - an...

Zusammenfassung:Tests the hypothesis that staining for PMS2 and MSH6 antibodies alone will be sufficient to detect all cases of Lynch syndrome (LS) - also known as hereditary non polyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC), an inherited autosomal dominant condition predisposing to early onset colorectal adenocarcinoma - and that it could replace routine screening with all four antibodies (MLH1, MSH2, MSH6, PMS2) which is current standard practice in immunochemistry staining for LS.
