Zusammenfassung:Through selective screening and breeding, a population of the Trogoderma granarium Everts with reduced male response to the female sex pheromone was isolated. In the eighteenth generation of selection, male response was reduced by 74%, and there was a 5-fold increase in the pheromone concentration required for maximal attraction. Quantitative and qualitative changes in the pheromone secreted by females of the selected population were indicated also.
