Systematic review of pneumococcal disease costs and productivity loss studies in Latin America and the Caribbean

Highlights • There are 16 studies on pneumococcal disease costs and productivity loss in Latin America and Caribbean. • 11 studies were within cost-effectiveness vaccine studies, 4 cost-of-illness studies and 1 study of burden of the disease. • Productivity loss was included in 8 studies and all of which used the human capital approach method. • Costs estimates varied depending on the types of costs included, perspective, costing method, and data sources.
