Zusammenfassung:	Highlights ► We explore the knowledge, perceptions, and attitudes of mothers on pneumococcal vaccination. ► We also explore health care providers knowledge, perceptions, and attitudes. ► Despite respondents poor knowledge, they are likely to accept the vaccination. ► Prior to the introduction of the vaccine, the existing IEC programs should be improved. ► Delaying the introduction will need strongly promote prevention programs.
