Zusammenfassung: | UNEP recently conducted a survey of information systems and sources associated with the transfer of environmentally sound technologies. The results from this survey were submitted to the Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD) at a meeting held in April of 1995. As part of this survey process, the UNEP investigated a variety of UN agencies, in addition to a number of international and national agencies, and industrial and research organizations. The CSD was quite pleased with the work delivered by UNEP. CSD encouraged UNEP to continue these efforts, expanding them to include systems from both developed and developing nations. Research into information deficiencies was targeted as an area of interest. Future studies should assess systems based on information quality, accessibility, and cost. |
