Possibility of application of aluminosilicochrome in the metallothermy of refined ferrochrome

The results of laboratory-scale tests on melting of refined ferrochrome with aluminosilicochrome as a reducing agent are presented. It is found that this alloy can be applied in the metallothermy of refined ferrochrome, improving the engineering-and-economical performance of the process.
