Zusammenfassung:The structure formation in 80K steel is studied after austenitization and subsequent cooling at ∼15°C/s for 1–20 s, with final cooling in water. Energy-saving sorbitization of high-carbon wire rod is introduced in the 150 mill at OAO BMZ-UKKh BMK. Such sorbitization reduces the energy consumption, without loss of productivity or product quality.
