Calculating tool parameters for standardized welded-pipe groups in edge-bending presses

A method is proposed for defining standardized groups in edge-bending presses. The following characteristics are determined for all the pipe ranges: the distortion of peripheral sections of the edges under various loads; the deflection of the edges; the longitudinal deformation of the edge; and the standardized punch radius. The results permit quality assessment of the edge bending of a pipe blank by means of a standardized single-radius punch.
