Zusammenfassung: | An identification system for agricultural animals is contemplated that would involve implantation of batteries containing manganese dioxide. Battery cathode material containing manganese dioxide was implanted in 40 male rats. No treatment effect in terms of weight gain or organ weight was determined for treated rats when compared with controls. However, all organs of treated rats contained significantly more manganese, although no clinical abnormalities were detected. |
