A Conceptual Tool for Generating and Evaluating Ecological Hypotheses

The ecoset model provides a conceptual paradigm that allows biologists to frame the various schools of ecological research design in an orderly manner. The model uses six parameters to organize the different points of view of research methodology in a single conceptual framework.
