Occurrence of Euphyllura phillyreae Foerster (Homoptera: Aphalaridae) on olives of the Greek mainland

Collections of psyllids of the genus Euphullura on olives in northern, central, and southern continental Greece, in May 1983, were predominantly E. phillyreae . Foerster. At only two coastal localities of central and southern continental Greece and at one coastal locality of northwestern Crete was E. straminea Loginova also found on olives. The species whose biology was studied in northern Greece by Prophetou and Tzanakakis (1977) is E. phillyreae , but was erroneously reported as E. olivina (Costa).
