Zusammenfassung:The problem of predicting strong earthquakes is very topical. Until quite recently, it was assumed that the physics of heavy fractures in the earth’s crust was clear and that we just had to consider the scale factor. Reality has turned out to be much more complex. The geological environment is characterized by extreme energy intensity, internal activity, and continuous changes in parameters at different levels. The current understanding of the processes and structure of the geological environment provides us with grounds for optimism in the search for real precursors of earthquakes, primarily, during short-term seismic hazards. This work considers the problem of predicting major earthquakes as part of a single seismic process.
