Zusammenfassung:Results of experimental studies that demonstrate that it is possible to use sigma-prism type devices to monitor the identity of samples of absorbing materials used in nuclear reactors are presented. It is suggested that monitoring may be performed by a relative method through comparison of a calibrated article with a reference sample.
