Breeding for cold hardiness in winter wheat: problems, progress and alien gene expression

In this paper, the literature on cold hardiness in winter wheat is reviewed, with discussion of evaluating of, breeding for and genetics of cold hardiness. Suggestions are made as to how research in this particular area might best proceed.
