Abram Cutter's archive of Bradstreetiana in the Boston Public Library

The Rare Books and Manuscripts collection of the Boston Public Library holds two unique, hand-made volumes of documents compiled by Anne Bradstreet's first 19C publisher, Abram E. Cutter. These volumes are personal scrapbooks in which Cutter recorded his close involvement with the publication of "The Works of Anne Bradstreet in Prose and Verse". They provide a valuable new resource for the study of Anne Bradstreet's publication history as well as a rare insight into the production of this deluxe scholarly edition.
