Zusammenfassung: | Jim Nabritt III was associate director-counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. His father, James M. Nabrit Jr, was one of the lawyers on the Brown v. Board of Education cases and a Howard University president. The author joined the staff of the Legal Defense Fund in March 1982, and it was then that he came to know Jim III. Jim reviewed the author's briefs, mentored him, and taught him a great deal about how to be a lawyer. Jim also taught him how to live enthusiastically; to set excellence as the only standard worth reaching for; to wear whatever accomplishments he may achieve lightly; and to treasure and care for family and friends. |
