Zusammenfassung: | Sampling and analytical procedures were successfully used to monitor for 2,3,7,8-TCDD in air samples collected near a superfund cleanup site operation in Missouri. Measured concentrations of TCDD in air samples are related both to an action level of 3.0 pg/cu M of air, and to a calculated no observed effect level of 5.5 pg/cu M. The research demonstrated the possibility of collecting reliable data for TCDD in air at concentrations that are below the action level specified by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control. The public was not exposed to a significant concentration of TCDD at any time during the study. |
