Land remote sensing technology and methodology

The principles of remote sensing for monitoring land forms and land use changes are explained. Diverse remote sensing systems have been fabricated that exploit diffrent parts of the electromagnetic spectrum and that produce data in different formats at varying scales and costs. These data may be acquired for virtually any place on earth. Features of aerial photography and satellite systems are highlighted, as are photo interpretation, digital image processing, image enhancement, and image classification.
