Zusammenfassung: | Rain, snow, and surface water samples collected in Antwerp, Belgium, were analyzed for ionic alkyllead compounds. Individual tri- and di-alkyllead species tend to occur at the 10-100 ng/l level in wet atmospheric deposition. The highest concentrations were recorded at busy traffic sites in the City center. The ratio of total ionic alkyllead to inorganic Pb is about 0.07%. In surface water, the trimethyllead concentration was typically about 5 ng/l, and dialkyllead species were generally present at a significantly lower level, below 1 ng/l. |
