description Improvement effect of painting efficiency by using low volatile organic compounds (VOC) paint was investigated experimentally and numerically. The painting efficiency and particle size distributions of spray of the test paints were calculated by simple numerical calculation. The efficiency of low-VOC paint was clearly better than that of conventional paint. It was shown that the motions of spray particle of the low-VOC paint were predictable by the simple numerical model.
