The goitrogenic efficiency of thioamides in a marine teleost, sea bream ( Sparus auratus )

Highlights ► MMI, PTU and TU have different goitrogenic efficacy in teleosts. ► MMI reduces plasma thyroid hormones and TTR and PTU reduces plasma TTR. ► MMI is the most effective goitrogen in sea bream.
