Zusammenfassung: | In Botswana, private pension and provident funds are regulated under the Pension and Provident Funds Act 18 of 1987. A central feature of this regulation is the concept of registration. Like most pension legislation, the Pension and Provident Funds Act requires pension and provident funds to be registered and licensed in order to operate.1 Through this requirement, the Pension and Provident Funds Act creates an enforcement mechanism for ensuring that each pension or provident fund meets the minimum regulatory standards under the legislation.2 Reprinted by permission of Oxford University Press |
