Zusammenfassung:Method detection limit, a new performance criterion for chemical analysis, is defined as that concentration of the analyte that can be detected at a specific confidence level. Both theory and applications are discussed for reliable wastewater analyses of priority pollutants. Its application to the analysis of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, TCDD, PCB, and pesticides is described.
