Zusammenfassung:Ecperiments were conducted to determine the effect of different water salinity levels on the decompostition of two organic manures-cowdung and poultry manure which are commonly used for manuring fish ponds-in a brackish water fish pond soil. Results indicated that application of manures increased the free carbon dioxide content and decreased the DO levels of the water; ph values of soil and water slightly decreased after manure application. Decompostion rates of the manures were lower under higher water salinity levels than under lower salintiy levels.
