Zusammenfassung:The chemical fractionation of natural radionuclides in coal during combustion is studied. Behavior of the radionuclides is inferred from deposition in the coal through combustion and emission at the power plant. An electrostatic precipitator collects most particulate mass. The finer particles which bypass the precipitator are very enriched in lead-210 compared with levels found in the coal, and moderately enriched in uranium-235 and uranium-238.
