Zusammenfassung:Microcolumn and gas-liquid chromatography analysis is conducted on a bald eagle found dead near an Illinois lake to measure the presence of organochlorine insecticide and PCB residues. Data are compared with those on effects on chickens ingesting PCB's for 10 weeks. Liver tissue in both species contain highest concentrations of PCB. The eagle probably received chronic exposure to PCB's via the food chain.
