Zusammenfassung:	A statistical analysis of field data was performed in order to document the difference in spruce budworm, Choristoneura fumiferana , development on balsam fir and red and black spruce. The analysis was based on data collected in New Brunswick over a 10-year period. The results document statistically that budworm development on balsam fir is faster than that on red and black spruce.
