Chlorinated hydrocarbon insecticide residues in ground beetles (Harpalus pensylvanicus) and Iowa soil

Quantities of persistent chlorinated hydrocarbon insecticides found in the bodies of carabid beetles taken from Iowa cornfields are discussed. Carabid beetles are under investigation as potential biological control agents of the insect pests of corn.
