Zusammenfassung: | Land use changes by radar-optic fused images and monitoring of its environmental impacts in Edremit region of western Turkey were investigated. It was known that rapid and unplanned urbanization and industrialization were the main reasons of environmental problems on the earth. To monitor land use change and urbanization, remote sensing was an effective data acquiring technique. Obtaining better accuracy was the main target in mapping and in the classification of objects. The results showed that agricultural fields of olive production were the areas of great loss suffering from rapid and unplanned urban expansion. It was concluded that using more than one fused image, i.e. using a time series of fused images, further improved the accuracy level in monitoring land use/cover changes. |
