Zusammenfassung: | Stability and quality of municipal solid waste (MSW) compost from a landfill aerobic bioreduction process is investigated. Sanitary landfills, as a method of disposal, are standard practice in today's waste management. The large amounts of MSW generated and the potential for landfills to be a future source of problems indicate that this approach may not be sustainable. The results show that the bottom of the landfill cell, 6.1-7.6 m depth layer has low SI but high volatile solids content. It is concluded that the MSW excavated from a landfill before aerobic bioreduction has nutrient values sufficient for bioreduction represented by C/N and C/P ratios of 39 and 187, respectively. |
