Zusammenfassung:Sorption isotherms and diffusion coefficients for water were determined for thin films of TGDDM/DDS epoxy resins at 40, 50 and 60°C. A Langmuir-type curvature was observed for all isotherms in the region of lower activity. Hygrothermal cycling was accompanied with an increase in sorption capacity attributed largely to a localized component of the sorption. The diffusion coefficient increased with concentration but an analysis of the sorption—desorption rate curves suggests the system is not truly Fickian.
