Zusammenfassung:The principles of fluorescent cell probe assays for studying early events in lymphocyte activation are described elsewhere in this volume. Briefly, fluorescent dyes localize to particular subcellular regions and can monitor very early changes in activated lymphocytes by alteration in their fluorescence emission. The authors have found fluorescent probes to be useful tools in cancer diagnosis and investigation of hostcancer interaction.
