Prognostic significance of acute postoperative seizures in extra-temporal lobe epilepsy surgery

Highlights • We evaluated the prognostic value of acute postoperative seizures (APOS) after surgery for drug-resistant extra-temporal lobe epilepsy. • APOS are relatively common in these patients. • The occurrence of APOS may independently predict long-term seizure outcome.
