Zusammenfassung:	A semi-continuous process for the production of human interferon- alpha c (IFN) from E. coli is described. Harvesting of bacteria, removal of cell debris and concentration were performed by tangetial-flow microfiltration (cross-flow microfiltration). Purification was done in a single step by a monoclonal-Ab column. In the process, purified material, 3-9 x 10 super(8) units/mg protein was obtained with a 65% overall yield.
