Zusammenfassung: | A method is described for the determination of hexavalent chromium in water samples, that can be used over a wide range of concentrations even in the presence of common impurities. Details of the method, which involves de-oxygenating sample solutions with water-saturated argon prior to differential pulse polarography, are presented. The results of tests are tabulated and show that natural water samples with a chromium content from 0.035 to 2.0 ug per ml may be analysed directly, with a detection limit of 0.010 ug of chromium per ml. A bibliography of 22 references is appended. |
