Zusammenfassung:A sample of 320 Aka pygmies was studied for ABO, Rhesus, Kell, Duffy Kidd, MNSs, Lutheran and Colton blood group antigens. The results show that the Aka pygmies have the blood group characteristics of black people: a high frequency of R o haplotype, a high proportion of U negative, fy (a-b-) people, a low frequency of K gene. All these results confirm that African pygmies can be considered as a very ancient population from Africa and possibly have a common origin with African people.
