Zusammenfassung:	A mutant strain of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, PAC35, was shown to lack homoserine dehydrogenase activity. In minimal salt medium, with growth‐limiting concentrations of homoserine, strain PAC35 excreted lysine into the medium and this did not occur when exogenous homoserine, or threonine, was in excess of requirements. The hom gene mapped at about 42 min on the PAO chromosome.
