Alteration of cyanide-insensitive respiration and acidic, K super(+) -depending extrusion induced by IPX (methyl-acetyldroxamoilacetate) in wheat roots (preliminary data)

Zusammenfassung:IPX (methly-acethydroxamoilacetate), a secondary fungal metabolite from Irpex pachyodon Quel. has been recognized as an antimitotic and brachyzing agent on monand dycotils. A strong enhancement of both cyanide-insensitive respiration and K super(+) -depending- Delta H super(+) (tissue acidic extrusion in the incubation medium) in wheat roots is also a characteristic feature of a long-time IPX treatment, and these effects will be briefly dealt with here.
